Instructor Training Course 2012
June 9th & 10th and June 16th & 17th
The Instructor Training Course is your first step toward a career in the snow. The course can provide a pathway for further development, insight to the field of snowsports instruction, and a whole world of opportunities. If you have no instructor qualifications but have advanced riding skills and want to share your passion for the alpine environment , or hold CASI/CSIA L1 or 2 but have no teaching experience, then we would love to hear from you.
COURSE CONTENT
During the course we will cover skier/rider improvement, how to teach kids through to adults, as well as customer service skills. The focus of the course is on teaching and professionalism, whilst improving your personal technical riding skills. This course is open to all applicants over the age of eighteen. If you are under 18, your application will be considered on an individual basis.
EMPLOYMENT
The Mt Buller Ski & Snowboard School is looking for highly committed and passionate people to join our large team of instructors. Completion of the Instructor Training Course does not guarantee you a position as an instructor, but some positions will be offered for both Alpine and Snowboard disciplines at the conclusion of the course. Employment with the Mt Buller Ski and Snowboard School provides an opportunity for further development and training towards APSI Level 1 – which is the first level of formal, internationally recognized instructor qualification in Australia (www.apsi.net.au).
DATES
The 2012 Instructor Training Course is scheduled on two consecutive weekends and all dates are compulsory:
June 9th & 10th AND June 16th & 17th
COST
$475. Includes lift tickets and 4 days training. Does not include accommodation or food. For accommodation options, please call Buller Holidays 1800 810 200.
