Board members and staff of the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board (ARMB) are saddened by the passing of a greatly admired and respected colleague, Sandie Jeffcoat, who contributed 23 passionate and productive years to Mt Buller and the Australian Alps. Esteemed by his peers and loved by his staff, Sandie will be greatly missed by the Mt Buller community.
Sandie was appointed as Area Manager of the Resort in 1982 when it was under the management of the Forestry Commission. He continued his leadership of the Resort under new management structures which were introduced in subsequent years, firstly under the Alpine Resorts Commission (ARC) and then as the Chief Executive Officer of the ARMB from 1999 until April 2005. Sandie provided leadership and vision to the ARMB and his legacy is a Resort that is considered the premier ski destination in Victoria. Sandie is survived by his wife Rae and their daughters Rebecca and Hannah.
