Organics Recycling Project - participating venues required for trial
09 Jun 2010

This winter, the ARMB in conjunction with 4Site Australia will be launching an organics management system that will enable Mt Buller to recycle its organic waste rather than just throwing it out with general rubbish. In the long term, this initiative will enable Mt Buller to increase its overall recycling levels from 35% to 60%, which is a great step towards realising the ‘zero waste' vision for the resort

The ARMB is now looking for some proactive mountain stakeholders to become involved in a trial for this initiative. We're looking for a range of venues of varying sizes including lodges, food outlets and large commercial establishments.

If you would like to be involved, please register your interest with Louise Perrin on 5777 6077 or louise@mtbuller.com.au.

If shortlisted for the trial, the RMB will arrange a time to meet with you in early June to discuss your suitability for the project. This will only take 30 minutes and will give you a better idea about the process of removing organic matter from your waste stream and identify the level of involvement that would be required.

Once the participants have been determined, this pilot project will be implemented throughout winter 2010.

So think green and join the organics team!
