As part of a staggered appointment rotation, three new board members have been appointed to the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board by the Minister for Environment and Climate Change, The Honourable Mr. Ryan Smith.
The new appointees consist of new Chairman Jennifer Hutchison, and Board members Kathryn Brooks and Michael Harding. Continuing Board members are Deputy Chairman Dean Belle, as well as Bryce Moore, Lea Corbett and Richard Brooks.
Jennifer Hutchison has come to Mt Buller after appointment as Deputy Chairperson of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort Management Board. Ms Hutchinson's previous roles include Chairman at the Australian Regional Tourism Network and Chief Executive Officer of Yarra Valley and The Dandenongs Marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Diploma of Education. Her strengths lie in marketing, finance and governance, relationships, community engagement, industry and product development. Kathryn Brooks is a social research specialist and has a background in corporate affairs, marketing and business management. Her specialisation is in social impact assessment, community networks and capacity, and government and community interactions. Kathryn is the Director of KAL Analysis and holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Australian National University, a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Sociology and a PhD (Sociology). Michael Harding is an artist, business owner and teacher and has previously had roles in Aboriginal oral history, heritage, cultural heritage and education. He is a part-time art teacher at Monash University (Gippsland campus) and holds an Associate Diploma of Arts in Aboriginal Studies, an Advanced Certificate in Archaeological Site Management and an Associate Diploma of Arts (Aboriginal Studies). Michael is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Council and also a board member of Native Title Services Victoria Board and Land Justice Group. Michael is the first traditional owner to be appointed to a Resort Management Board.
Chief Executive Officer for the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling ARMB, John Huber, is pleased to welcome the new Board members to the Resort. "These new appointees will bring experience and enthusiasm to the Board, and complement the comprehensive skill set of the existing Board members. I look forward to welcoming the new Board members to Mt Buller and working with them to guide the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling alpine resorts into the future.

The new Board members commenced their appointment on October 28, and will attend their first Board meeting on November 25 at Mt Buller.
