The downhill mountain biking trails, serviced by the Horse Hill Chairlift, are operated by Buller Ski Lifts (BSL). Trails are maintained by BSL and a team of volunteers. You can read about how to become a volunteer here.
The cross country trails are constructed and maintained by the Mt Buller & Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board (ARMB). These trails are relatively new and are part of a long-term strategy to to expand and improve the cross country offering at Mt Buller. The trails are free to use, plus maps are available free of charge from the Mt Buller Post Office and signage is in place to help you navigate the vast network of trails that stretch from Mt Buller to neighbouring Mt Stirling and down into the Delatite and Howqua Valleys.
The trails that have been recently constructed by Glen Jacobs are a work in progress and part of a five year plan, hence these fresh new tracks will take several years of summers and winters to properly bed down and signage will be erected as trails are officially opened. We encourage you to keep an eye out for anything you think could be changed or improved and to let us know by emailing xctrails@mtbuller.com.au. We are also always on the lookout for anyone who is keen to donate their time to help maintain and improve the trails - if you're interested in volunteering please drop us a line!
We hope you continue to enjoy the facilities here at Mt Buller. We welcome any feedback that will assist us to realise our vision over the next few years to create a sustainable, low maintenance facility that blends seamlessly with the natural environment.
