Mt Buller's unique village atmosphere creates opportunities not found in conventional spaces.
In summer the resort offers event planners a blank canvas that can be themed to suit your requirements, and in winter we have a ready-made winter wonderland equipped for the most romantic or adventurous itinerary you can think of!
The following themes make the most of our distinctive natural environment and our existing product offering.
HIGH COUNTRY The High Country is all about the land, its people and a history that is uniquely Australian. Beautiful vistas stretch as far as the eye can see, encompassing panoramic mountain views and grassy lowland valleys. Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of rocky mountain bluffs and distant peaks you can almost hear the cracking whips and thundering hooves of the cattle droving days of old.
This distinctive landscape is complemented by a group of passionate locals ranging from cattle and horse folk who have farmed the land for centuries, to the modern day hoteliers whose focus is your comfort.
To make your function truly memorable we can let the flavour of the High Country flow through all your activities - why not don the Akubra and oilskins and participate in whip cracking and damper making demonstrations, then take your posse on a High Country horse riding adventure. Craig's Hut on Mt Stirling is a great rest stop for seemingly endless mountain views.
Or, if your pace is more relaxed, explore the best that the area has to offer on a regional tour by vehicle or horseback, or enjoy a fireside dinner at an authentic mountain lodge.
SUMMER ADVENTURE Mt Buller is synonymous with adventure in summer. Our conferences and events team will help you develop a memorable alpine itinerary, incorporating personal challenges, rewards and team building activities.
Magnificent views, clean air and a cool summer climate provide an inspirational setting for organised activities, ranging from passive, to active, to positively challenging!
Stepping a little out of your comfort zone with a range of exhilarating adventures is what Mt Buller in summer is all about. Tear down the mountain on a bike, wade through rivers, abseil down an indoor climbing wall or take a horse ride through ‘Man from Snowy River' country - the choice is yours. Our expert staff can design a program of activities catering for all experience levels from novice to expert. Or, if you're heading to the hills in search of peace and quiet you'll find the scenery breathtaking and the environment soothing and inspiring.
At the end of the day, tired bodies can relax and unwind while soaking up the alpine views. Enjoy a casual dinner at one of many eateries, then head to the cinema to enjoy a latest release movie.
