Wildflowers

Environment>Eco Tourism>Wildflowers

Every summer wildflowers bloom, wreathing the mountain in shades of pink, purple and yellow in a spectacular display that is unique to the mountains. The wildflowers of the Australian Alps are renowned and attract many visitors over summer. From the subtle to the sublime there are shades and colours to attract all discerning nature lovers.

Most plants flower between November and April, but the best time to see the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling wildflowers in all their glory is from December through to March.
