Many different animals are known to live at or visit Mt Buller. Birds, reptiles, mammals and fish all utilise habitat within the Resort boundaries, though relatively few animals truly live in the Alpine regions due to the difficult climatic conditions. Many dwell in the temperate climates in the valleys dividing the High Country, migrating temporarily into the mountains in warmer weather.
