Access and facilities for people with disabilities around Mt Buller are limited. The Village sits at 1,600m and rises above the tree line with steep ascents, and snow and ice on paths and roads can be hazardous.
Accommodation Please be aware that any persons who have considerable mobility restrictions may find general accommodation inappropriate. The following accommodation houses have some disability access:
Ajax - Ramp and accessible facilities
MUSKI - Disabled room available
Mt Buller Chalet - Lift access to all floors. - Accessible toilet on ground floor, access off Athlete's Walk. - Disabled room available.
Public toilets Public toilets with disability access are available at three locations:
Abom - Accessible toilet, access off Bourke St - grid reference P5 on the Mt Buller Village Map.
Horse Hill Car Park - Accessable toilet, single level - grid reference D17 on the Mt Buller Village Map.
Cow Camp Plaza - Accessible toilet, lower level, access from Bus area - grid reference P10 on the Mt Buller Village Map.
Public transport There are no buses or shuttles that operate around Mt Buller that have disability access. However, options are available for vehicle access to the Village for cars carrying patrons with a disability. Please speak to one of the Traffic Control attendants when you reach the Resort gate if you require special access.
Disable WinterSport Australia Mt Buller is pleased to extend support to passport holders from Disabled WinterSport Australia (DWA).
DWA Passport holders can enjoy a 50 percent saving on a regular full-price day liftpass (child or adult) upon presentation of their valid DWA Passport at any Mt Buller ticket window. A carer/support person, if they are skiing/boarding with the passport holder and present at the time of the ticket purchase, is also able to purchase their day lift pass at the same 50 percent saving.
The Ski & Snowboard School also extend a 50 percent discount on private lessons conducted at Mt Buller for valid DWA passport holders.
