FULL ATTACK 2012
Full Attack is a program dedicated to high-end skiing both on and off piste for children 9 -12 years. The program will be focused on racing, skier x, moguls, and skiing the entire mountain with confidence and aggression. Our goal is to create a complete skier who can attack all aspects of skiing.
Full Attack will focus on technical skills improvement most mornings, with use of gates when applicable. Afternoons will usually focus on free ride, incorporating moguls, steeps and park skiing.
Participants are recommended to have corresponding skis - a pair of race skis and a pair of all-mountain twin tips. Minimum ability for a participant in Full Attack is advanced Black Kangaroo.
Required skills include:
- The maturity to handle a coaching environment;
- Willingness to improve skills and participate in all aspects of the program;
- Able to execute carved turns on groomed black runs, (e.g. Men's Downhill);
- Able to execute dynamic turns off-piste (e.g. Black Summit);
- Capable and willing to ski the entire mountain (e.g. Plug Hole); and
- Some park skills (basic box slide, basic jump, 180, 360).
A minimum Team X participation of two years is strongly recommended and groups will be determined by age, ability, and focus. Due the high minimum ability level for this program selection is determined on the basis of previous program participation and the recommendation of coaches.
DATES: Victorian State School Holidays: 30th June - 15th July.
Every Weekend (Sat. & Sun.) beginning: 21st July - 9th Sept.
