Natalie and Hayden Bloomfield took their first chairlift ride as husband and wife at Mt Buller on Saturday following an intimate alpine ceremony in the chapel.
Hayden asked Natalie, who regularly snowboards in the resort, to marry him at Mt Buller and they also chose to marry on the mountain in the heart of winter. The temperature difference couldn’t have been more dramatic from their Northern Territory home where the two now live and work, and light snow fell on cue this afternoon following the ceremony to add some winter magic to the proceedings.
Both are volunteer CFA fire fighters and Natalie received a ride to and from the chapel in the Mt Buller oversnow fire truck with several CFA well-wishes attending the ceremony.

Natalie wrapped up in a bright red jacket for the chilly chairlift ride but the couple kept warm cuddling on the Blue Bullet chair with a “Just married” sign to share their happy news with the skiers below.
