Guided Summer Nature Walks

3rd January 2009 - Easter 2009
Saturdays at 1:00pm and Sundays at 10:30am

Join us on a guided walk which explores  the interpretive Summit Nature Walk trail.  Learn about the alpine environment, the unique array of plants and animals that live in it and the harsh climate they face, the history of skiing at Mt Buller and many other interesting facts. Our guides, Louise Perrin, Ian Thomas, Cathy Chivers and Ali Kirkwood, will provide an informative and interesting interpretation of the natural environment, share their experiences of living and working on the mountain, and happily answer any questions.

All walks depart on time, so make sure you arrive ten to fifteen minutes early.  Bring everything you might need (water, food, camera) and dress appropriately (walking shoes, light weight clothing and hat if hot and sunny, warm clothing for colder conditions)

This walk takes approximately 2-3 hours.

Meet at the small shelter hut opposite the Arlberg Hotel on Summit Rd ten to fifteen minutes prior to departure

Bookings are essential.

Please note that under extreme weather conditions (high winds, thunderstorms, heavy rain, dense fog) or in periods of high fire danger walks may be cancelled.

This program is subject to change.
