Alpine Spa Retreat

Climbing and Abseiling

Feel a sense of achievement when you conquer some of natures steepest challenges, or the freedom you feel when you abseil down a cliff face. There is an indoor climbing wall available in the Sports Hall in the La Trobe building. The 16 metre climbing wall supports a number of routes with varying degrees of difficulty. There are also several locations out on the mountain and in surrounding areas which are perfect for these adventure sports. There are two main climbing and abseiling locations – ‘Elephant Cliff’ at Mt Buller and the Cathedral Range – so pack some courage and we’ll show you the ropes.

Gym Facilities & Archerie

The Mt Buller Gym in the La Trobe building boasts the most comprehensive international standard gymnasium in an Australian alpine environment. It features free weights, treadmills, exercise bikes, steppers, machine weights, boxing equipment and plyometrics rowers, and has fully qualified professionals who can help you meet your fitness goals.

Australia’s highest cinema

You can enjoy some of the latest cinema blockbusters at Mt Buller’s Village Cinema. Movies screen twice weekly throughout summer and tickets can be purchased at regular cinema prices. The cinema seats 180 people in comfort and a range of traditional cinema snacks are available at the ticket window.
