The trails at Mt Buller have been designed and built by renowned trail designer Glen Jacobs and his team from World Trail, and aim to be low maintenance, sustainable and blend seamlessly with the alpine environment. Trails involve a range of technical feature and obstacles, vary in altitude from 600 to 1700m and guarantee incredible views, an amazing alpine environment – and best of all, they’re free to use! Trails range from beginner to advanced, however due to the naturally steep and varied terrain, most are suitable for intermediate-advanced riders.

Australia’s first flow down trail begins at the Northside Discovery Centre, snaking its way down Shaky Knees ski run. Large deep berms pump riders out and into a descent past Alpine Central through a number of switch backs before joining Home Trail, then it’s a final plunge through a number of fun and flowy corners, over a bridge and finishing at the Chalet Creek mid-station of the Northside Express Chairlift.

From the intersection with Cornhill Trail and Woolybutt Trail, or from the top of Trigger Happy Trail, the Medusa winds and climbs a steep but rewarding section of single track to bring you out just before the summit of Corn Hill. Once the climb is complete there are two choices, a lap of Misty Twist or Clancy's Run (or both!) Stop and enjoy the views on the way up, or savour it for the second lap!
Trial Type: MTB Cross Country Difficulty: Green Distance: .630 km
Climb the first few switchbacks from Stirling Road, to be rewarded by a meadow of Alpine Trigger Plants amongst the snowgums. Woody’s Run allows riders to “short cut” the Delatite River trail, and is a very rough fire road descent. For those riding bigger gravity bikes who don’t wish to pedal around the full Delatite River Trail, take this route. For entry level and low intermediates best stick to Delatite River Trail.
Trial Type: MTB Cross Country Difficulty: Blue Distance: 1.7 km
Head towards Mt Stirling on wide undulating fire trail before exiting this, and descending through superb singletrack to Howqua Gap.
