Use of the trails is free of charge and a complimentary bush walking map is also available for the alpine area. Pick up a map from the Alpine Central, and for any further information contact Mt Buller Resort Management on 03 5777 6077 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Head to Mt Stirling for a beautiful walk in a pristine alpine environment. Mt Buller Mt Stirling Resort Management has created two interpretive walks on Mt Stirling - a 4.4km Wombat Drop Loop and a 12.3km Summit Loop.
Walks start from King Saddle Shelter.
A number of interpretive signs are positioned along the trail, telling the stories of Mt Stirling's history, from the olden days of logging to the thrill of the ‘Man From Snowy River' movie set and the characters that create the past and present, as well as the flora and fauna that make up the stunning environment.
Most of the trails across the Mt Buller network are shared amongst bush walkers, trail runners, mountain bike riders and horse riders. These trails are marked on each of the trail maps. We ask that all trail users be aware of all other trail users and please share the trails.
Pick your own path or join a group and let an experienced guide show you the way. For more information contact:
