Mt Buller promises an ‘office’ like no other.
ABOM is a large iconic venue at the centre of our hospitality offering on the mountain and we are looking for a Venue Manager to oversee all aspects of its operations.
During the summer we are here for the people that enjoy the great outdoors, Mountain biking, walking and the odd car race up the hill.
With a capacity just shy of a thousand people, you will need experience in high volume catering operations, and be able to deliver high speed service in several different styles; quick service, café, a la carte bistro, ski school catering, functions and events, bar and live music events.

There aren’t really any challenges to your skill set we won’t test.
We go from Zero to Hero, once the white stuff starts to fall its game on, we can go from a core team of about 10 staff to 120 within a few days.
You will have had plenty of time to prepare, those honed management and administrative skills will put you in a good position, you will be hands on, leading from the front, inducting and training your team to deliver a great service to all.
Your ability to lead and motivate will be of paramount importance, a structured disciplined approach will be highly regarded. If you have the skills to bring to the team, we would love to hear from you.
You will report to and be supported by the F&B group Manager as well as the Buller Hospitality Manager, who both work all year round, preparing for the 10 or so venues we operate on the mountain, we have a ‘Mountain’ of opportunity moving forward, sorry for the Pun.
