The Ski Club of Victoria is seeking an experienced Front Office Supervisor to join their team for the coming Winter season.

The Ski Club of Victoria is the oldest alpine club in Victoria and prides itself on its hospitality and historical contributions to Mount Buller as an Alpine Resort.

Ideally, we are looking for a fun-loving personality who is not afraid to have a chat to our members. Experience in a similar role is essential and great attention to detail and the ability to lead are key attributes to being successful in this role. This is a full-time seasonal position across a 7-day operation that will include regular weekend and evening work.

 

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of all MS Office programs and any experience using a property management system or channel manager will be highly regarded.

This position will ideally start in April however may be flexible for the right person.  All applicants must be able to fulfill the entire season and must have the right to work in Australia.

Accommodation will be provided onsite for a discounted fee.

Supervise front office operations.

  • Greet all guest on arrival and ensure club licensing rules are adhered too.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient experience delivered to all guests at check in, during their stay and at check out.
  • Accurately and efficiently receive and process guest reservations whilst observing policy and procedures for the hotel operation.
  • Attend to all incoming calls
  • Ensuring all rooming allocations are complete to maximize occupancy and guests needs.
  • Co-ordinate with the F&B Manager regarding Restaurant Bookings, Functions and Events.
  • Maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring that all charges are accurate and posted on a timely basis. 
  • Maintain channel manager
  • Ensure accuracy of reservations in respect of depositing information, billing/credit details, Member/Guest special requests, room rates and guest information.
  • Maintain continuity throughout the team in relation to all member and guest correspondents.
  • Contributing to maximum occupancy of the hotel by maintaining accurate rooms inventory control system.
  • Assist in maximizing room revenues through effective utilization of room rates and promotional packages. 
  • Manage and maintain integrity of inhouse membership database, process new memberships and drive Membership sales in line with budgets.
  • Daily Night Auditing of all venues and reconciling banking and cash on hand.
