Snow Pony is a contemporary bar and restaurant hiding under the Timbuktu development on Bourke Street ski run.
The interior is a wood store and snow cave, combining contemporary and traditional chalet elements in a moody mix of recycled timbers, log walls, cowhide fire, antler chandeliers and dark marble bar.
The building and bar design is a collaboration between Salter Architects and Hecker Phelan & Guthrie well known for Melbourne restaurants Comme and Longrain.
Drop in for a quick coffee or drink, or linger for a while and sample a quirky cocktail or the delectable Snow Pony menu.
Owners William and Danielle Walters took over the business in 2012 after previously managing the restaurant in 2009. They have a long history of hospitality and are on their thirteenth winter season after working at Mount Hotham in earlier years. In 2012 William and Danielle won back their great reputation from 2009 and brought the buzz back to SnowPony.
Our menu embraces a contemporary sharing style menu with South American influences, so you can sample a variety of our dishes. For the true Snow Pony experience, share your food from the center of the table, surrounded by your family and friends.
