Bike Trail Report

Trail Report: 6 Mar 2026

After plenty of soaking rain again this week the trails are in great condition for riding. No dust, hero dirt and sunshine on the forecast. Be on the lookout as there may be sections with water erosion from the downpours earlier this week. ABOM has had a little love this week so put it on your list if you're doing gravity laps this weekend. Preparation has started for the AusCycling MTB National XCO course, including finalising the course layout.  PS: All Terrain Cycles have some 2 hour skills coaching sessions available this weekend - contact them directly to book.

How are the Trails Riding?
The gravity trails are riding well, with recent rainfall settling dust and improving overall ride quality. Trails continue to receive weekly walks to check conditions and clear rocks from main ride lines. With changing conditions, some trees may still fall or drop limbs across the network. If you spot any fallen trees, please let us know so crews can respond quickly. Send us a note

NEW > Friday nights - 5-7pm shuttles are rolling to help you squeeze more cool time on the trails. Stretch your weekend with a Friday night start, or simply blow off the stress from the work/school week with an evening lap or two. Book yours

Heads up on the Network
Works on Corn Hill Road near the bottom of Gang Gangs continue, with a short detour in place via the Helipad to reconnect riders with the wider network. Follow signage when heading out via Gang Gangs. Looking ahead to the AusCycling MTB National XCO Championships, International Trail will be closed March 16 and 17 for course preparation. Further Gravity Zone closures may apply during the event period. More details to come. The work on the new gravity trails is rolling slower than hoped so if you’ve been eyeing off those Plough Shed links shown on the updated map, thanks for being patient. Put it on the list for 2026 and we’ll share a heads up here if there’s a possibility of getting you on there sooner.

EPIC Update: The Australian Epic Trail is OPEN. Huge thanks to the maintenance crew who shifted fallen trees and put in the work to get the trail riding and ready for the season. Please ride within your limits and be prepared for alpine conditions. It's a long ride so know your limits and have a plan.

Ride safe and we'll see you out there.
