Bike Trail Report

Trail Report: 12 Mar 2026

After a welcome run of rain this week, trail conditions across the network have improved with dust settling and grippy dirt returning to the surface. Crews are shifting focus toward preparation for the AusCycling MTB National XCO Championships, with work underway across sections of the network as the course layout is finalised.

Rider Dange has been out clocking laps this weekend and reports the gravity zone is holding up well after a busy period. "The dust has gone and the grippy dirt has returned. There are a even a few springs popping up creating little muddy spots, which is hard to believe after how dry it's been this summer."

PS: All Terrain Cycles have some 2 hour skills coaching sessions available this weekend - contact them directly to book.

How are the Trails Riding?
The gravity trails are riding well, with recent rain bringing back that grippy dirt riders have been waiting for. "I was loving the extra grip. You could really throw your bike into the turns." ABOM and Copperhead is also getting a few extra laps. "It's not normally one of my go to runs, but ABOM onto Copperhead was pretty fun and it looks like more riders are starting to link it up."  Out on the wider network, Gang Gangs is looking sharp after brush cut and rake, while Misty Twist and Clancy's Run are riding the best they have been all season. "If people can drag themselves away from the chairlift it's definitely worth a lap."

If you spot any fallen trees, please let us know so crews can respond quickly. Send us a note

Heads up on the Network
Works on Corn Hill Road near the bottom of Gang Gangs continue, with a short detour in place via the Helipad to reconnect riders with the wider network. Follow the signage when heading out via Gang Gangs. Looking ahead to the AusCycling MTB National XCO Championships, a few changes are coming to the Gravity Zone.

International Trail will remain open until Sunday 15 March. On Monday 16 March, shuttles will operate servicing ABOM and Copperhead only, with limited trail availability for bookings while course preparation takes place. The full suite of gravity tracks will reopen Sunday 22 March once the event wraps up.

Ride safe and we'll see you out there!
