About the event
Retro Weekend 2023
We encourage all guests to ensure they have themselves a RAD outfit sorted as we trip back through two of our favourite decades the 80s’ and 90s’.
SATURDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER – ALL THINGS 80S’
- Retro Gnome Treasure Hunt throughout the Village (ALL DAY)
- Guided Silent Disco in the Village Square (11am - 2pm & 5:30pm - 8pm). Look out for Dave in the Village Square, grab the pair of headphones and get your retro-groove on to some '80s tunes with Dave Kirsner!
- Retro Media Wall at the Sports Hall (from 10am).
Grab your friends and immerse yourselves in front of our 12 square metre media wall in Level 2 in the Alpine Central building from 10am Saturday and Sunday.
We’ve got retro wigs and laser sunnies for you to look the retro part as well as a snow machine and fan to blow that fluro or spikey wig hair!
- Retro Bounce at AirZone (from 10am)
After doing your thing in front of our media wall do your retro bounce thing in Buller Airzone. An awesome ‘80s playlist awaits so bring your best airborne retro moves!

Dekdrum spins the ‘80s vinyl on the Village Square stage from 2-5pm
- NIGHT SKIING on Bourke Street (5pm – 8:30pm)
SUNDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER – ALL ABOUT THE 90S’
