Skiing and snowboarding is underway at Mt Buller following a special early opening celebration on Bourke Street on Friday 2 June.
Mt Buller tested out the new stadium lighting on the Bourke Street ski run and hundreds of skiers and boarders turned out for a ski to mark the early start to the season!

First turns after Mt Buller's early opening
Bourke Street is open all week with Blue Bullet lift and the Bourke Street carpet in operation from 9am – 5pm daily. The Ski & Snowboard School is open for business with beginner lessons underway.
This long weekend will see thousands of guests in the resort to celebrate the traditional ‘opening’ of the snow season for the Queens’ Birthday Weekend with a jammed schedule of entertainment and festivities.
The program includes plenty of fun activities for the kids including face painting and hula hooping, complimentary hot chocolate, gluhwein, roasted chestnuts and toasted marshmallows for everyone in the Village Square. The village stage will showcase plenty of free entertainment and of course it wouldn’t be a long weekend celebration without a fireworks display on Saturday night at 6:00pm.

Buses & shuttles
Buses and shuttles will be running as per the standard winter schedule:
Day visitor car park shuttles
Monday – Sunday 8am – 6pm
Please note on Saturday 10 June the shuttle will run until 9.00pm to cater for the ‘Twilight Sessions Launch’.
Intra village shuttles
Sunday - Friday 8am – 6pm
Saturday 8am – 10pm

Snowplay Parks
The Village Snowplay Park will be open and marshalled for tobogganing and snowplay across opening weekend. Operations will be reviewed based on conditions next week. Please note the Village Snowplay Park will close at 2pm on Saturday 10 June, 2017 for the fireworks display.
The Horse Hill Snowplay Park will be open, and not marshalled for snowplay across opening weekend. Operations will be reviewed based on conditions next week.
Opening weekend celebrations
We have a slate of activities scheduled for opening weekend, and it’s shaping up to be the most fun in years! We will have lifts turning, runs open, live entertainment and lots of free family activities. Check out the program here.
