This year marks 100 years of skiing on Mt Buller, thanks to the Ski Club of Victoria’s pioneering spirit and good eye for spotting a skiable mountain in 1924.
At Buller Ski Lifts (BSL) we are celebrating this exciting 100 year milestone all season long and taking this opportunity to recognise the contribution of our people in the making of Mt Buller into what it is today. From the early days of creating ski runs to the modern lifts, hotels and infrastructure that defines our resort in 2024, Mt Buller’s people are as important to the experience up here as the mountain and the snow itself.
BSL is inviting all the former crew back to Mt Buller for some reminiscing and shared turns on the slopes on three dates in July and August. Enjoy a day lift pass on us to reacquaint yourself with the mountain and some reunion après later at Moosehead.

Buller Ski Lifts General Manager Noel Landry explains,
“It’s a huge rollcall of names stretching back over the decades and this is an open invitation to everyone to visit us this season. There are hundreds of people who have bumped chairs, shoveled snow, made pizzas, cleaned floors, changed sheets, patrolled the ski area, taught ski lessons and created this special alpine community. Anyone who has worked up here can tell you, it’s the people that make a place special, so BSL is going to shout some lift passes and a catch up at the Moosehead to anyone who wants to come and reminisce”
“Whether former staff have worked for a single season or seven, worked for Blue lifts, or for Orange; everyone is welcome to take up this invitation, come for a ski and to reconnect” Landry adds.

Passes will be snapped up quickly, so pick your date and we encourage all former staff to apply immediately.
Looking ahead, BSL is dedicated to building on the legacy created by the people who came before at Mt Buller and evolving with the changing world. Our diverse and flexible team is here to ensure that future generations of alpine and outdoor enthusiasts can continue embracing adventures and discovering this mountain for years to come. Join us this season as we celebrate a century of skiing at Mt Buller.
Former staff invited to apply here.
