Burton and Mt Buller are fired up to present The Cattleman’s Cup, a two-day celebration of snowboarding on July 20-21st with $12,000+ worth of cash and prizes.
The infamous Cattleman’s Rail Jam is transformed into a fresh format this winter. The new event builds on a 14-year legacy and retains the spirit of the Mt Buller Village stair set but takes it to the mountain with a revised, more inclusive, participation-based format. The Cattleman's Cup opens up the event to riders of all ages and abilities and breaks free from the nighttime spectator event of old.
The new format has three elements -- a Cattleman’s inspired Rail Plaza Jam, Hip Contest and Race-Your-Mate Slalom Course.
Riders can test ride the latest Burton boards and bindings at a free Burton Demo, and Pirate Life Brewing are leading the daily Après festivities on-snow at Spurs Smokehouse. Swing by to try the new Burton beer, relax with DJ sets and gather with your riding tribe.
Day One, Wednesday July 20th
Jam format Hip Session on a specially-built feature curated by the Mt Buller Parks team.
$1500 will go to one male and one female Hip Ruler, with spot prizes for riders giving the hip their best shot.
For those who prefer to keep their board on the snow, register for the Race-Your-Mate Slalom Course, with prizes for those who beat their buddy in a head-to-head dual. Take your run on a new Burton boards and bindings FREE from the Burton Demo Tent.
Pirate Life Brewing present The Cattleman’s Cup Après and award presentations.
Day Two, Thursday July 21st
Buckle up for the all-inclusive Rail Jam on a unique, Cattleman’s inspired plaza feature. One male and one female rider will take home $1500 each, as well as spot prizes for riders giving it their all. The Race-Your-Mate course will once again be open to all riders, with prizes for the fastest mate, and demo tent open for free test riding.
Back up for a second Cattleman’s Cup Après presented by Pirate Life Brewing, where both the Rail Ruler awards and overall Cattleman’s Cup Champions will be announced. The overall male and female champions will take home $2000 each.
Daily Event Start Time – 11am – Skyline Park
Daily Event End Time – 2pm – Skyline Park
Daily Après Kick off – 2:30pm – Smokehouse, Mt Buller
All events are free to enter for all ages and abilities. Helmets are mandatory, and each rider must have a valid lift ticket to participate.
