All Alpine resort operations are changing to comply with the latest health restrictions announced this afternoon by the Premier, which are in place for seven days from 8pm on Thursday 5th August 2021.
The five reasons for leaving home apply to guests and workers within resorts:
- shopping for necessary goods and services (one person per household, once per day, a support person can accompany if required)
- caregiving or compassionate reasons
- authorised work or permitted education, or work interstate
- exercise (up to two hours, with one other person or members of your household)
- receive a vaccination
Private gatherings are not permitted. Intimate partner visits/single bubble visits are permitted. Public gatherings are not permitted.
Face coverings (masks) must be carried at all times and must be worn indoors and outdoors except if at home, or when visiting an intimate partner’s place of residence or if an exemption applies.
Accommodation
No new bookings are permitted for the duration of the lockdown action. Guests already within resorts are permitted to shelter in place for the duration of the lockdown. Guests are able to return home during the lockdown period. If doing so, they must return straight home.
Ski lifts
Lifting operations will cease.
Transport
Transport will be provided where it is essential to support authorised activities in the directions: e.g. supporting resort guests to leave the resort for the purpose of returning home. Tour transport will cease.
