More Chairlift Days? Let’s do it!

3 March 2026

Following a hot, fun summer on the gravity trails, Mt Buller is extending chairlift assisted mountain biking through to 19th April, giving riders more weekends to soak up one of the best riding windows of the year. The return of chairlift accessed mountain biking has been well-received with good numbers of riders returning to Mt Buller to ride and hundreds of visitors seizing the opportunity to take in one of the coolest sightseeing experiences in the high country.

“With Northside laps back on the menu and more uplift days on offer, these additional weekends give riders even more reason to keep coming back,” said Florian Tabelander, Summer Activations Manager. “Autumn is a standout time to be on the mountain, and now’s the time to get back on the bike and explore the network, head out for a hike, or get the adrenaline going with RockWire.

Spurs Café at the top of the Northside Express is open alongside the extended lifting days offering the ideal stop for a reviving flat white, a refreshing cool drink or a cheeky beer. A tempting array of snacks, treats and lunch options are a great way to refuel while taking in the knock-out views to the Mt Buller summit and across the green valleys below. The savvy team at All Terrain Cycles are on hand at Spurs with spare parts, bike repairs, rentals and local knowledge of the trails.

Friday night shuttles until 7pm are in the mix too, making the most of crisp evenings and golden light as the mountain eases into autumn. Clock off from work, head up the mountain and enjoy a few runs in the golden light before the weekend crew arrives. The extended April operations also includes Mirimbah shuttles which support access down into the valley for relaxed rides along the Delatite River Trail – simply book your uplift to get back to the village.

With more uplift days on offer and a stacked events calendar heading into autumn, mountain bike season at Mt Buller is far from winding down. If you’ve not ridden the Buller trails for a while, or have always wanted to, consider this your sign to get away for a cool weekend.
