Skyline adds to the lift and run openings at Mt Buller making Friday 13th a lucky one for skiers and boarders with the popular Family Run set to open on Saturday and Howqua Chair rolling for the weekend.
Cold, clear nights under a glowing full moon have seen the snowguns blazing to bolster the cover on Skyline and Baldy, making more intermediate terrain ready for guests.
-3 degrees and clear skies were perfect for some additional snowmaking and preparation for Skyline to open
Following a bumper 35cm snowy start on the King’s Birthday weekend the Mt Buller mountain operations team has been working around the clock and the results are paying off with additional runs adding to the open ski area from Friday 13 June.
Tobogganists will have double the fun from Saturday with both the Village and Celia’s toboggan parks scheduled for family fun.
“Skyline is covered, groomed and the T-bar is ready to roll from Friday morning,” said Buller Ski Lifts General Manager Noel Landry. “It’s truly a team effort of snowmaking, grooming, and of course Mother Nature doing her part, to get more terrain open for guests as soon as possible. I know skiers and boarders will be stoked to get onto more of the mountain this weekend.”
“Family run is a great one to have into the mix for Saturday and it’s a credit to our mountain operations team to have these extra kilometres of trail for our guests this early. I think it’s one of the best views on the mountain and with Howqua Chair rolling I’m looking forward to stopping into Koflers for a coffee and an apricot mogul.”
