In a special surprise for Royal Melbourne Show-goers these school holidays there will be SNOW at the Show!
Mt Buller is enjoying a bumper spring season with over 1 metre of fresh snow falling this month alone – so they are bringing truckloads of snow down to the Show for everyone to enjoy.
“It’s been an incredible snow season and it just keeps snowing up here at Mt Buller – so we thought why not share the magic, and send some of our beautiful fresh snow for families to enjoy at the Show,” said Buller Ski Lifts General Manager Laurie Blampied.
Mt Buller will be creating the free Mt Buller Snow Play Park at the Royal Melbourne Show where families can come and play, build a snowman, make snowballs and have fun in snow delivered fresh from Mt Buller. Guests will find the Mt Buller Snow Play Park right next to the Herald Sun Arena and pony rides. In addition visitors to the Mt Buller Snow Play Zone at the Show can enter a competition to win a family trip to Mt Buller.
Mt Buller has well over 135cms of snow on the ground and 14 lifts in operation with the best spring snow conditions since 1992.
“Mt Buller has extended the snow season all the way through until the 8 October, the end of school holidays, and we still have superb conditions up here for skiing, snowboarding and snowplay. After seeing the snow at the Show we think guests are going to want the full snow experience at Mt Buller, and it’s the perfect time to do it!’
Mt Buller is open every day until the end of school holidays with great spring deals and the “Yoplait Petit Miam Kids’ Week” from 25-30th September. There are great spring packages available including 40% reduction in lift passes, Kids Stay Free accommodation deals and free overnight parking.
The Ski & Snowboard School are running beginner lessons daily for children and adults.
Mt Buller has two dedicated snowplay areas for family fun and offers sightseeing chairlift rides.
