In a dazzling display of pink and excitement, the much-anticipated Barbie movie took centre stage last night at the highest theatre in Australia, the Mt Buller Cinema.
The first screening of this cult film showed to a packed theatre with pink-clad patrons greeting one another with “Hi, Barbie!” and fresh snow falling added to the magic.
All the shades of pink were on show with plenty of locals and guests embracing the Barbie dress code. Gym and cinema managers Dan and Caroline even arranged a pre-movie warm up of Pink Gin Pilates with the crew from Mt Buller Physio to strengthen and stretch out their Barbie muscles.
Dan Rogers explained, "Everyday in Mt Buller is amazing, just like Barbie says: “It was the best day ever. So was yesterday, and so is tomorrow, and every day from now until forever.”
For those not into Barbie the Mt Buller Cinema is currently screening all the big blockbusters, including Oppenheimer and the new Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.
The Barbie movie premiere at Mt Buller Cinema will be remembered as a whimsical extravaganza that lifted spirits proving once again that in the world of cinema, and Mt Buller, dreams do come true.
