After a snow-filled winter we love to get out on the trails and explore our alpine backyard across Mt Buller and Mt Stirling.
This weekend marks the beginning of a summer of adventures when the trails progressively start opening up. The team have been busy clearing fallen branches, checking the condition of the trails after months of snow, melt, run off and more and making sure the place is at its best ready for your walking, running, bike riding, horse riding and 4WD-ing exploits.
The full trail network is anticiapted to be open for the official summer season kick off on Saturday 30 November. Consider this a warm up... a sneaky Spring preview!
So what are you waiting for?
- Check the cams and see what the weather is doing (it will probably be doing something different in a few hours time and that's part of the fun up here!)
- Download the APP so you have all your mountain info in your pocket
- Check the Event Calendar and the What's On for the latest updates and opening hours
- Book some accomm - there are places that are bike friendly with storage and bike wash facilities too
- Plan your trail adventures - maps are online and you can also get a real life offline version in resort when you are here at the Info Centre in Alpine Central
- Touch base with the team at All Terrain Cycles and book in for a clinic, get a guided tour around the trails and arrange to rent a bike if you need one.

A FEW THINGS FOR YOUR CALENDAR... just while we are here chatting.
- 8-10 November - It's the 10th year of the classic rally event Targa High Country. And it's an incredible weekend, and if you love seeing beautiful cars driven skillfully this is a weekend of your dreams. Kick back up at Mt Buller and watch the cars roar up the road, meet the drivers and enjoy the buzz in the village over the event.
- 13 November - Full moon. You have to experience Mt Buller on a full moon, grab a picnic rug, cosy up and watch the huge moon come up (the moonset down over the summit in the early morning is something special too!)
- 30 November - the official summer opening weekend and a great time to bring the bike, the walking shoes, the camera and those you love for a chill out on the mountain. Get on the gravity trails or do a long cruise down to Mirimbah on the Delatite River Trail.
