Thanks to the amazing work of our snowmakers and groomers Mt Buller is excited to be the only Victorian resort to run a chairlift this weekend for skiing and boarding, and of course sightseeing,
Blue Bullet will open on Saturday 9 June, operating from 9am – 5pm, so everyone that been hanging for their snow fix can get first turns in over the weekend.
Laurie Blampied, General Manager, Buller Ski Lifts says, “It’s great to have the only chairlift in Victoria rolling for skiing and snowboarding this weekend and to be able to deliver those important first turns for those who’ve been counting down to the opening of the season.”
Lift operations will be assessed daily as we aim to bring more lifts online when snow allows.
Lift and lesson
Lift passes are on sale online at just $64 for adults and $36 for children and over 65s. To secure this price passes must be bought a day ahead of your visit. Tickets bought at the ticket window will be $71 for adults and $43 for children.
Sightseer passes are $20 for a return ride or $33 for unlimited rides for adults and $23 for unlimited rides for a child.
The Ski & Snowboard School is offering beginner level Discover lessons available for teens and adults and beginner (Lv 1-3) private lessons available on request. For more information please contact the Ski & Snowboard School.
Snowplay
Due to insufficient snow cover in the Snow Play Parks there is currently no tobogganing available in resort. There is however a big pile of snow in the Village Square for snowplay this weekend for everyone to enjoy! Please note tobogganing is not allowed on the ski area.
Opening weekend celebrations
We have a slate of activities scheduled for opening weekend, and it’s shaping up to be the most fun in years! There’ll be live entertainment, free family activities and of course fireworks to celebrate the official opening of the season . Check out the program here.
Opening Weekend operations
From Friday 8 June Mt Buller and Mt Stirling will commence winter resort operations. This includes charging resort entry, parking management and shuttles. For details on operations across the weekend click here.
