Mt Buller is getting set to turn up the fun all September, as the resort celebrates the arrival of spring with plenty of great value deals and a mountain of events on the horizon. Here are just a few of the great reasons to head the slopes at Buller this September (in no particular order):
Across the weekend of 9-11 September our ‘80s Day has grown to the bigger and better Retro Weekend. Celebrations will be held across the mountain, with a DJ at Koflers spinning 80s tunes throughout Saturday, a fun retro sing-a-long with karaoke at the Kooroora Hotel, top DJs Nite Theory pumping the tunes in the Village Square, dance classes from both 80s and 90s on the village square stage and many more activities.

The Pond Skim National Championships presented by Pirate Life will return to Mt Buller on Saturday 17 September. Spectators will enjoy seeing participants dressed in crazy costumes skim across a temporary dam on Bourke Street, taking on silly stunts to get from one side of the dam to the other. Celebrations will continue with après drinks and a BBQ at the Pirate Life Beer Garden on Bourke Street, with an after party kicking on into the evening at Moosehead.
Embrace Grand Final fever at Mt Buller's Festival of Footy on 23 & 24 September. The weekend will be jam packed with fun activities for the whole family with live music, ice sculpting, free marshmallow toasting over the village fire pits, and of course there will be screens across the resort to watch the game.
Across the first week of the school holidays, we're celebrating Mt Buller's smallest guests with special, child friendly activities on offer each day. Mt Buller mascots Blake the Flake and Barry the Pygmy Possum will be out and about so make sure if you find them to say g'day. Activities include colouring in competitions, balloon twisting and much more.
There's nothing quite like a ski up ice bar to wrap up a Monday. Head on over to Bourke St just outside ABOM on Monday 26 September afternoon for unlimited Taittinger Champagne for an hour and a half and a couple of oysters to brighten up your day.
Blues Roulette spin the wheel every weekend at Moosehead Whisky & Blues Bar, bringing to Mt Buller some of the best blues artists Australia has to offer.
If you haven't met Blues Roulette they are Ben Wicks on Bass, Johnny T on Drums and our epic sound technician (who has a killer voice and jumps on the mic every now and then) Paul Slattery. They hail from Melbourne but after playing every Saturday so far we consider them locals.
