Pats Italian Restaurant and Bar is an icon establishment situated in the heart of Mt Buller Village. We are known for our mouth-watering a la carte menu, pizzas, fun atmosphere and our exceptional customer service. We make the majority of our dishes in-house with high-quality produce (including our pizza dough and pasta which is made each day) and we ensure that everything is as fresh as you can get!

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on role and will require you to work under pressure, in a fast pace environment. As it is a short time of operation, some aspects of the job are, but not limited to, the following;

• prepare the restaurant for opening
• ensure the accommodation is ready to receive staff
• hold staff induction/training sessions/s covering;
• staff handbook, including paperwork to be completed
• liquor licences
• dofoodsafely including our food allergy policy, deliveries and documentation
• upsellting, promotions and social media
• opening and closing procedures
• work closely with the owners and senior staff to ensure the restaurant runs efficiently and cost effectively
• rostering and timesheet management (Tanda)
• daily/weekly contact with suppliers and delivery companies

Appropriate training will be provided where required.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Appropriate Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent
• Experience in tourism highly desirable
• Police check and appropriate certificate
• Experience with Tanda and Ordermate highly desirable
• Experience stock management
• Excellent time management
• Attention to detail
• Good time management
• Ability to manage a team with emphasis on creating a positive and harmonious environment
• Ability to recruit, train and supervise staff
• Ability to 'jump in' to a front of house role should it be required
• Ability to greet and welcome customers, take and manage bookings, handle complaints and advise
