RESTAURANT MANAGER

We are looking for a hospitality professional with good experience in a similar role and a proven ability to lead and manage a team to ensure that high-quality service and guest satisfaction is provided.

Kaptans Restaurant is one of Mt Buller's most famous venues, featuring traditional European alpine ambience, with wood carvings and artefacts depicting Mt Buller’s and the hotel’s history.  The restaurant is renowned for providing a consistently outstanding menu featuring innovative Australian cuisine with a twist on old favourites and some classic Austrian specialties, as well as competent, friendly front of house service.

Skills and qualifications required

• Hands on leader with excellent organisational and communication skills including the ability to delegate and give direction to the team
• Ability to operate within existing policies and procedures.
• Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate liquor licensing guidelines and procedures.
• Display a high level of professionalism and positivity.
• Maintain a professional and friendly team culture
• Able to multitask, remain calm under pressure and consistently deliver superior customer service.
• Proficiency in the use of MS office suite, staff rostering software and POS systems
• Strong knowledge of wines, cocktails, and beers.
• Experience in beverage ordering and stock control.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (Victoria)
• Be available from late May to end September
• Foreign nationals must hold a valid Australian Working Holiday Visa subclass 417 or 462
