COCKTAIL BARPERSON FOR HERBIE'S BAR

We are seeking a highly motivated, professional and fully experienced bar person for our intimate and popular Herbie's Bar which is part of Kaptans Restaurant. The successful applicant will be able to perform under pressure in a fast pace environment, manage all aspects of a bar and sees customer service as a priority.

Herbies Bar is an intimate and popular bar where guests can warm up with an après ski Gluhwein or Jagertee, or choose from an array of imported beers, local wines, cocktails, schnapps and liqueur coffees.

We are seeking a highly motivated, professional and fully experienced bar person who is able to perform under pressure in a fast pace environment, manage all aspects of a bar and sees customer service is a priority.

Skills required

• A great attitude and a passion for delivering excellent levels of customer service. 
• Good attention to detail
• Be willing to work as part of a team or individually
• Ability to work under pressure at a fast pace in a busy environment.
• Ability to multi-task and stay calm and focused in busy or challenging situations.
• Have strong bar and front of house experience
• Experience with up-selling menu and specials
• Good time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiar with using POS ordering systems and taking orders from customers. We use Ordermate
• Hold a current Victorian RSA certificate (responsible service of alcohol) or have one that is recognized in Victoria or transferrable.
• Be available from early June to end September
• Foreign nationals must hold a valid Australian Working Holiday Visa subclass 417 or 462
