We are seeking a Restaurant Supervisor/Maitre D' with a proven ability to supervise a small team, delegate tasks and ensure high-quality service and guest satisfaction. Previous experience in a busy restaurant environment and the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

Kaptans Restaurant is one of Mt Buller's most famous venues, featuring traditional European alpine ambience, with wood carvings and artefacts depicting Mt Buller’s and the hotel’s history. The restaurant is renowned for providing a consistently outstanding menu featuring innovative Australian cuisine with a twist on old favourites and some classic Austrian specialties, as well as competent, friendly front of house service.
Skills required -
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to delegate tasks and give clear direction to the restaurant team.
- Ability to train and motivate a small team.
- Understand and adhere to organisational policies and procedures.
- Able to multitask, remain calm under pressure to consistently deliver superior customer service.
- Proficiency in the use POS systems - we use Ordermate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (Victoria).
- Be available from late May to end September
- Foreign nationals must hold a valid Australian Working Holiday Visa subclass 417 or 462
