ABOUT US

Located in the heart of the Mt Buller village, Hotel Pension Grimus is a family-owned boutique hotel offering hotel room and self-contained apartment accommodation, a renowned restaurant and bar, and an on-site ski & snowboard centre. Known for our warm European alpine hospitality and personalized service, we deliver memorable mountain experiences season after season.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Food & Beverage Attendant, you will be a key part of our restaurant and bar service team, providing full à la carte table service across breakfast, and dinner. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and efficient during high-volume service periods.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing full à la carte food and beverage table service through multi course dining
• Taking accurate orders and operating POS systems confidently
• Carrying and serving food and beverages using trays and multi-plate techniques
• Maintaining strong product knowledge of menus and daily offerings
• Assisting with mise-en-place, restaurant set-up, reset, and cleaning
• Working collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house team members
• Maintaining high presentation, hygiene, and service standards at all times

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for team members who are reliable, service-focused, and enjoy working in a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in à la carte food and beverage table service (essential)
• Strong customer service skills and professional presentation
• Confidence using POS ordering systems
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• A calm, positive attitude during busy service periods
• A current Victorian RSA certificate (or recognised transferable equivalent)

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Fixed-term contract for the winter ski season (June to September)
• Hours and role duration subject to occupancy and alpine conditions
• 38–48 hours per week depending on occupancy.
• 6‑day rotating roster with early, late, and some split shifts
• On-site staff accommodation and meals package available
• Suitable for Australian residents or Working Holiday Visa holders (Subclass 417 or 462)
