Gravity MTB riders can now extend their Friday at Mt Buller, with gravity shuttles running until 7pm every Friday for the remainder of the summer season.
The extended Friday shuttle service unlocks extra laps between 5-7pm, making the most of long summer days and cooler evening conditions. It is all about squeezing more riding into a Friday, winding down after the week, and getting rolling on the trails before the weekend crew arrives.
Twilight shuttle access is included at no additional cost with a Friday day pass or Season Pass. Riders joining just for the afternoon session can purchase an evening shuttle pass for $30 adults or $25 children, making it easy to fit in a few extra laps before the sunset.
“We are excited to offer a service that gives people the chance to jump on a bike and get a few runs in after work or school on a Friday,” says Neil Geddes from Busfleet. “It is a great way to fit in riding after a busy week.”
To make it even easier for locals, a return bus service with bike racks will run from Mansfield (Masonic Hotel at 3:45pm) and Merrijig (outside Hunt Club at 4:00pm). The return service is $30 per rider, with bookings essential to secure a seat. Book HERE.
The Friday evening shuttle service Mt Buller’s northside gravity trails, with uplift back to Spurs, keeping riders lapping smoothly through the evening and leaving plenty of time to roll into the village afterwards.
“I run an academy program every Friday evening for young riders who are looking to level up and build confidence, particularly ahead of the National Mountain Bike Championships in March, where we hope to see these talented kids on the podium,” says All Terrain Cycles coach Shannon Rademaker. “Word is already getting around in the MTB community and among locals, you can really feel the buzz building. We know weekends can get busy, so being able to squeeze in a few cheeky laps before the weekend rush is a huge bonus.”
Stay for the sunset, or better yet, start the weekend up here. Ride in the cool of the evening, work up an appetite, and settle in for a schnitzel and a glass of something cold in the village.
Friday shuttles will operate every Friday until the summer 2026 season close. The weekend starts now!
