Labour Day long weekend (9-11 March) is shaping up to be a huge weekend at Mt Buller! With a mix of events across the weekend, guests are able cater their weekend depending on how adventurous they are feeling. Whether you’re racing bikes in the Shimano Bike Buller Festival, going for a bushwalk on Mt Stirling or enjoying some local produce and musical entertainment in Mirimbah Park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Mt Buller has everything on offer.
The Shimano Bike Buller Festival is returning for its eleventh year, with a new and exciting 2-day format with different races for all types of riders. The event will see over 500 riders converge on Mt Buller to celebrate all things great about mountain biking. With new cross-country stages, including a point to point race along the Australian Alpine Epic Trail – Shimano Bike Buller Festival is great for competitors and spectators alike. The Northside Express Chairlift will run for the duration of the weekend (Saturday 9-Sunday 10). The chairlift will be operating for competitors, general riders and spectators alike. Tickets are available on the day at the load stations. Click here for pricing and times. All Terrain Cycles will operating their gravity shuttles on Monday 11th March for those riders wanting to make the most of the long weekend. Click here for more information on the gravity shuttles.
On the Saturday evening (9 March), All Terrain Cycles is hosting a Highline Slopestyle Competition on the dirt jumps on the Village Toboggan Slope. Watch riders perform their best tricks and whips off the custom-built jumps – this is one to watch! For more information, click here.
On Sunday afternoon (10 March) from 12pm-6pm, roll out your picnic rug alongside the Delatite River in Mirimbah Park for Picnic in the Park.
