Mt Buller is once again excited to welcome the annual Chamber Music Summer School, with two exciting and harmonious public performances by some of Australia’s finest chamber musicians on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January. The summer school will provide seven days of performance, workshops and tuition designed to provide participants with a wealth of rich and diverse chamber music experiences.
Held in the Alpine Chapel, visitors will be able to listen to the melodic sounds of a number of composed string and woodwinds ensembles. Overall direction will be led by Wilma Smith, who as Artistic Director has enrolled an outstanding group of tutors, including eminent musicians and educators such as acclaimed New Zealand violinist Donald Armstrong, and violists Caroline Henbest and Christopher Moore, together with cellists Svetlana Bogosavljevic and Molly Kadarauch from Melbourne.
Director of Marketing, Amber Gardner, is looking forward to the performances and welcomes the tutors and participants to the mountain. “Mt Buller lends itself ideally to a summer school event such as this, with inspiring and relaxing surroundings providing a wonderful backdrop for the musicians.
“I am very much looking forward to the quality musical performances in the Mt Buller Chapel. It is a fantastic venue that provides the perfect setting for performances such as these.”
The public performances will be held at the Mt Buller Alpine Chapel on Saturday 23 January at 8:30pm and Sunday 24 January from 3:00pm. For further information visit mtbuller.com.au.
