Ambulance Victoria is based on Mt Buller and provides 24 Hour emergency assistance.
Free COVID tests are available by appointment for any permanent resident, seasonal resident, staff working within the resort, and long-stay visitor (greater than 7 nights) who exhibit coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms. To book a COVID test please call the Mt Buller medical Centre (5777 6730) between 9:00AM and 5:00PM. Test results should be available within 24-48 hours (subject to fluctuations and outbreaks in the State of Victoria). After completing the test, patients will be required to self-isolate in accordance with medical instructions.
Day visitors who develop COVID-19 symptoms should return home immediately and should contact the RMB for assistance if they are unable to return home without using resort public transport.
Visitors who are staying within the resort for less than seven days and who develop COVID-19 symptoms should return home immediately and should contact the RMB if they are unable to return home without using resort public transport.
If you need a GP consult while on the mountain, we encourage you to check with your local GP as they may be offering telehealth consultations and can provide the best personalised care.
If your local GP is not providing telehealth consultations you can call GP2U, Australia’s largest telehealth provider, to book a tele/video GP consultation. Bookings can be made on-line 7-days a week from 7:00AM to 19:00PM at: https://gp2u.com.au/. GP2U can refer patients to the Mt Buller Medical Centre if a face to face consultation is required.
Face to face GP consultations will be available at the Medical Centre, if needed. All consultations must be booked by calling 5777 6730 – walk-ins are not allowed. GP appointments will generally be between 9:00am to 11:00 AM. The Medical Centre is open from 9:00AM to 17:00PM.
Your GP, GP2U and the Mt Buller Medical Centre can send prescriptions directly to The Guardian or Mansfield Pharmacy in Mansfield. The Pharmacies deliver prescription medicine daily to the resort for a small fee. You can arrange to pick your medicine up from the Medical Centre or have it delivered to your door.
Mt Buller has a first class urgent and trauma care system. Our highly trained and specialised Ski Patrollers attend to injuries on the ski field and transport people to the Medical Centre, if needed. The Medical Centre is staffed with emergency care specialist doctors, nurses and medical administration team. The centre is equipped with an X-ray and Ultrasound machine. Ambulance Victoria is next to the Medical Centre for hospital transfers, where needed.
Ski Patrol, the Medical Centre and Ambulance Victoria have plans to safely care for patients that may have COVID-19. Services will ask COVID-19 screening questions, and we ask that you answer honestly to prevent the spread.
