TRAVEL CONSIDERATIONS

Your Journey to Mt Buller

We recommend that all visitors pre-book resort entry and other services to take advantage of discounts and streamline their journeys. People with disabilities or special needs are also encouraged to stop at the Mirimbah Resort Entry building so our customer service team can streamline your experience by asking our car parking attendants to reserve an appropriate parking spot for you and mobilising the wheelchair accessible ride share if needed.

Driving - Wheel Chains

All visitors to Mt Buller and Mt Stirling are required to carry wheel chains. If wheel chains need to be fitted there will be clear public signage and staff available to provide information. However, you will be required to fit your own chains, as there is no chain fitting service. Wheel chains may only be required for 2-wheel drive (2WD) cars depending on road conditions. Click here for more information.

Car Parking

Mt Buller has dedicated carparks for day and overnight visitors which are accessible, although surfaces can be icy and snowy. Please talk to the carparking attendant when you arrive, and they will direct you to an easily accessible parking spot.

Getting from the Carpark to the Village

Day visitors can use the free Day Car Park Shuttle Buses which are wheelchair accessible or book the wheelchair accessible ride share vehicle for a fee.

If you are staying overnight, we encourage you to pre-book the wheelchair accessible ride share vehicle before you leave home by calling (03) 5777 6158 to avoid delays. If you haven’t pre-booked this vehicle, please let the customer service staff at Mirimbah Resort Entry know so they can arrange it for you.

If you are a Disabled Wintersport Australia (DWA) Member we offer a 50% discount on ride share fares for the DWA member and 1 carer/companion for up to two trips per day.

You can also contact one of the private taxi services that operate at Mt Buller. For more information about DWA please contact DWA directly at www.disabledwintersport.com.au or call 1300 265 730.
