FAQs
Tobogganing
-
On average, late August to early September is when Mt Buller reports the deepest snow cover on the majority of runs. Coming in this period also means you'll be visiting during peak times, so it's best to plan and book early.
Skiing and boarding is guaranteed on a minimum area from King's Birthday Weekend until season close (usually around Grand Final Weekend). For the best value look at early and late in the season for special offers and savings. Conditions do vary season to season so keep an eye on the snow reports - September can be surprisingly good skiing and boarding with late season discounts to sweeten the experience!

Mt Buller has two designated toboggan parks and the one pass gives you access to both:
- Village Toboggan Park: Located next to the Clocktower in the Mt Buller village.
- Celia's Toboggan Park: Just a short walk from the Horse Hill Day Car Park
- No, toboggans are no longer permitted to be brought into the Mt Buller village. Toboggans are provided for use within the designated toboggan parks for safety reasons.
-
There are two options:
- Toboggan Pass ($20): This includes a toboggan and access to both toboggan parks for the day.
- Free with Lift Pass (except sightseeing passes): If you have a valid lift pass, you can access the toboggan parks for free. You'll just need to get a toboggan pass wristband upon showing your lift pass.
To enjoy the toboggan parks you must purchase a wristband and sign a waiver - there are several venues in Mansfield and Mt Buller where you can purchase passes.
