BUNYIPS 3-6 YEARS

Bunyips 3-6 Years Ski Program

The Bunyip Program is based in the Buller Kids Centre on level 1 & 2 of the Ski & Snowboard School building. Children love learning to ski in their own area, The Magic Forest, which features two moveable carpets that make learning easy. The small classes give your child personal attention and encourage optimum progress. Qualified child carers support our instructor team when getting the children organized into their class and during snack and meal times to ensure your little one has the best possible care. Session Times:

Morning registrations for the Bunyip programs commence 8:30am each morning. We highly recommend you arrive early to allow plenty of time to purchase tickets and register.  It is highly probable you will experience delays if you arrive a few minutes prior to the commencement of the lesson.

  • ALL DAY: 9:30am - 3:30pm (includes Lunch)
  • AM: 9:30am - 12:00pm (2.5 hours)
  • PM: 1:00pm - 3:30pm

*From Monday 11th September 2023, we will run the AM session only, and ski levels 1-2 only, until season close on 17 September.

End of Lesson Report Cards:

Parents receive a report card from their child’s instructor at the end of the lesson when collecting your child.  This provides you with a quick overview of the progress and skills taught during the lesson.

Meeting Place

All Bunyip registrations are on Level 2 of the Ski & Snowboard School (Enter via the Magic Forest). You’ll register your children into our care, we’ll label their equipment and complete any other formalities (such as any medical or other special requirements).  Groups are formed and your little one introduced to their instructor and group.

Helmets

Helmets are compulsory for all children participating in lessons and are included free with Buller Sports rental packages. A bicycle or motorcycle helmet is not accredited, it must be a ski or board helmet.

Food Requirements & Anaphylactic Conditions

Please provide your own snacks and lunch if your child has special food requirements or suffers from a severe anaphylactic condition. The Ski & Snowboard School are able to cater for basic food allergies and dietary requirements. It should be noted that traces of nuts or other allergens may be present in foods.

Allergies and Medication

If your child requires medication, has an allergy, or is at risk of an anaphylactic reaction, please bring a copy of their Management Plan & the necessary medication.

All children diagnosed at risk of anaphylaxis or allergies must have an approved action plan signed by a doctor. Adrenaline kits must be signed into the Centre including the device, any prescribed antihistamine, a signed action plan and a permanent marker in a thermal bag secured to the child.

Please note: Failure to provide the Centre with a complete action plan signed by a doctor may result in your child being refused entry into the centre.
