Mt Buller - Find Your Level

To find out what lesson level you should choose, please use the chart below.

Please note: During the 2021 season we will be offering kids levels 5 – 8, and adult/teen intermediate and advanced lessons as private lessons only. These levels will not be available as a group lesson.

ADULT / TEEN 15+ SKI LESSON LEVELS

Never skied before	FIRST TIMER	To balance, glide and stop and ride the Magic Carpet
Ride the Magic Carpet and stop	GROUP (BEGINNER)	Turning, linking turns, speed control through turning
Can link snowplough turns on green runs.	GROUP (BEGINNER PLUS)	Introduction to basic parallel turns and blue runs. I start to ski on blue runs (Summit, Shakey Knees, Family Run)
Can almost make parallel turns, hockey stop and side slip on blue runs.	GROUP (INTERMEDIATE)	Refine parallel turns, short radius, carving. Introduction into black runs and bumps. Ski the whole mountain. Group lessons not available in 2021

ADULT / TEEN 15+ SNOWBOARD LESSON LEVELS

I CAN/HAVE:	LESSON TYPE	YOU WILL LEARN:
Never ridden before	FIRST TIMER	To balance, glide, heel side slipping, falling leaf and ride Magic Carpet
Ride Magic Carpet, heel side & falling leaf	GROUP (BEGINNER)	Toe side turning, linking turns, speed control through turning
Can do skidded turns, traverse and ride the chairlift.	GROUP (BEGINNER PLUS)	Introduction to basic terrain park features, jumps, rails. Improvement on overall control. Learn Fakie and learn to launch!
Can link basic turns, do 3-point turns & skidded 360s.	GROUP (INTERMEDIATE)	Refine turns & move to more difficult features within the terrain parks. Incorporate freestyle elements. Group lessons not available in 2021
