5 reasons you'll want to visit Mt Buller this spring
With longer days, softer snow (and late season snowfalls this year!) there are plenty of reasons to head for the hills these school holidays. It’s known as the season of sunshine laps, long lunches and maybe even a splash! If you’ve wondered about spring and whether it’s for you here are 5 great reasons to make the trip before the lifts stop spinning.
Spring deals to stretch your dollar further
Lift tickets from $126 for adults and $76 for kids and first-timer lift and lesson packages from just $129 make for a good deal to get on snow. Knock off 20% from the ARV resort entry and great accommodation discounts, and you’ll see why spring is the best-value time to visit.
A Smart Time to Learn
Falling over? It’s part of the fun, and spring snow is soft and forgiving so a few stacks won’t dent your pride. Smart beginners head straight into a lesson with our world-class instructors at the Ski & Snowboard School where progression is swift and you’ll be stoked at how quickly you master stopping and turning. Learning to ski has never been this fun.
Space To Play
With fewer crowds and no lift line wait, you can get Buller all to yourself (almost). Glide straight onto the chair, carve wide arcs across untouched corduroy, and savour the freedom of space around you. Spring skiing offers a rare sense of calm on the slopes – just you, the snow and the view. And maybe a cheeky wombat if you keep your eyes peeled!
Après in the sunshine
Spring après is a (cheeky) mood. Afternoons at Buller are made for clinking glasses on a sun-drenched deck, swapping stories with friends and letting the day stretch on a little longer into a golden sunset. There’s something special about après in spring – boots are kicked off, sunglasses are on, the mountains glow in the afternoon light. It’s your chance to slow down, soak it all in and celebrate the season the Buller way.
Events that make a splash
Adding extra colour to spring, the Pond Skim transforms Bourke Street into a stage for daring costumes and dramatic splash-downs. From superheroes to ballerinas, everyone takes a shot at skimming across the icy water. It’s a spectacle best enjoyed with friends, laughter and a drink in hand.
