Mt Buller Art Exhibitions

22 July 2017

Mt Buller has a reputation for being more than a ski resort, and this season is proving no different. The vibrant arts community on Mt Buller has been working hard and this winter season sees the resort showcasing a range of these talented artists, and their diverse range of works in a series of exhibitions.

Held in the Mt Buller Interpretive Centre, in the Alpine Central building, well-known Melbourne artist Nicole Haeberle’s “Into the White” collection of paintings is currently on display.

Haeberle’s work has a strong focus on landscapes and travel, with her recent paintings inspired by the snow scapes of Mt Buller and Thredbo. Her artwork is showing until 20 July and is available to purchase.

Following Nicole’s exhibition will be talented photographer Sealey Brandt’s “Three Years” display. Brandt’s work focusses on family portraiture and her overseas adventures to places such as Mongolia and Namibia. Brandt’s work will be displayed in the Arts Centre from 22 July to 6 August, with an opening celebration taking place from 6pm on 22 July.

Photographer and Mt Buller local Tony Harrington will then be showcased with his work “Buller & Beyond”. The collection shares an inside look at Mt Buller through Harrington’s lens, capturing the mountain in her many moods and from some unique angles. The photographs will be on display from 12 -27 August, and available to purchase.

Rounding out the season, contemporary artist Colin Hyett will be showing his latest work once again after a successful Mt Buller exhibition in 2016. Hyett’s artwork and installations will be on display from 2 – 17 September.
