Winter Solstice 2025

As mid-winter wraps its frosty arms around the mountain and we move beyond the shortest and darkest day of the year it's time to celebrate with fire, light, ice and magic! Come gather!

5pm: Kick off in the Village Square Plaza with a snowflake-making session. Get crafty with this free and fun experience — perfect for little hands and big imaginations.

6pm: Draw close around the pits and follow performer Karina in her mesmerizing LED wingsuit as she guides us through the village on a gentle twilight wander. It’s a stroll like no other – think art pieces, alpine air and wonder in every direction.

7.15pm: As darkness settles in, gather around the Village Stage for a breathtaking live fire show, igniting the night sky with colour and motion. And to close at 7.30pm cosy up by the fire pits for marshmallow toasting and storytelling under the stars – a calm, dreamy wind-down to a truly magical evening.

7.30pm +: Stay for the evening with dining options close-by in the village including Burger Haus, Cantina and the Kooroora hotel. The Village Bus will run until 9pm so enjoy dinner in the village without stress.

5-8:30pm: TWILIGHT SESSION THIS SATURDAY – The snow is so good we couldn’t wait -  ride from 5-8:30pm under lights on Bourke Street! The mid-winter celebrations in the village will extend to Bourke Street with a special solstice slide under lights. Tickets only $36 at Buller Sports or purchase online. Thank you to our friends at the Mansfield Lantern Festival – whose vibrant creativity helped spark inspiration for this event. The Mansfield community celebrated Solstice on the 21 June and we're delighted to extend the mid-winter festivities between two weekends up to the mountain with this new event.
