The Snowfactory was shipped from TechnoAlpin in Italy back in January and took three semitrailers to deliver it to the mountain. It is the first of its type in Australia.
The TechnoAlpin SF220 Snowfactory can continuously produce snow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at temperatures well above freezing. It is capable of generating up to 220 cubic metres of snow daily at up to 15 degrees Celsius. The Snowfactory is an exciting step-change to Mt Buller’s already extensive snowmaking capacity.
