URGENT AND EMERGENCY CARE 

The Mt Buller Medical Centre is operated by Australian Rural Medical Services who also run the Alpine Medical Centers at Mt Hotham, Falls Creek and Perisher Valley. The Mt Buller Medical Centre provides Emergency and General Practice care to mountain visitors and staff between the hours of 9:00AM to 17:00PM for a fee. The Medical Centre is staffed with emergency and GP care specialist doctors and nurses.  Mt Buller is Xray equipped, and Medicare Certified for eligible patient claims. 

You can reach the clinic on 03 5777 6912 to make GP appointments or present during business hours.  Outside these hours, a doctor is available on call for emergencies for a fee. 

If ambulance transport is required, individuals are responsible for the cost of ambulance transport either through their AV or private health membership, full cost recovery, or payment of invoice. It is highly recommended that you take out Ambulance Victoria Membership before you visit Mt Buller. 

EMERGENCY 000 

Ambulance Victoria has a base on Mt Buller and provides 24 Hour emergency assistance. Ambulance Victoria is available for acute transfers to hospital; that is for patients who require active treatment or specialty transfers. If you require hospital services, you will be transported to the closest health service that has the capability to meet your needs. 

PRESCRIPTIONS 

Mt Buller Medical Centre is not a pharmacy. There is a local supermarket that stocks a small range of medical supplies. The Medical Centre can help with sending scripts to The Amcal Eisners Pharmacy or Mansfield Pharmacy in Mansfield for dispensing. The pharmacies can courier filled scripts to the resort for a small fee. You can arrange to pick your medication up from the Medical Centre or have it delivered to your door.

Mt. Buller Physiotherapy can assess, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate your particular condition. Each case is unique, so we ensure experienced and customized care for each client, cutting recovery time, and optimizing performance. Mt Buller Physio also specializes in Concussion assessment, baseline and management plans.
